After first making her name in showbiz in the ‘90s as a model and a comedienne, Wilma Doesnt has proven herself as a versatile performer on stage and in front of the camera. In her first digital sitcom GVBOYS: Pangmalakasang Good Vibes which was inspired by the ‘90s sitcom Palibhasa Lalake where she plays the kumare of Carmi Martin, Wilma shared how different the process was before from today.

“Kaibigan ako ni Aling Perly (played by Carmi Martin) dito. So mag-best friends kami. Wala silang pagnanasa at all (laughs). Kami ni tita Carmi (Martin) malungkot kami on the side watching lang the boys,” she said. Wilma recently got engaged to her longtime partner Gerick Parin earlier this month.

Working with their younger co-stars Jerome Ponce, Nikko Natividad, and Dave Bornea who play male boarders, Wilma talked about having their own unique style of doing comedy.

“In fairness naman sa three boys, they have their own personality. Yung character nila sila mismo nag-develop nun with the help of direk Don. Palibhasa Lalake was just an inspiration. Para at least defined yung aming show and alam namin na yung GV Boys inspired by Palibhasa pero at the end of the day meron pa rin kaming kanya kanayang character at personality. Yun ang nangyari sa set,” she shared.

Having finished taping the sitcom during their lock-in taping with director Don Cuaresma, Wilma said she enjoyed her time on the show.

“Talagang masaya ito kasi si direk Don hindi sumigaw the entire taping day. Walang na-award. Ibig sabihin ganun kasaya yung set kasi kalmado si direk Don,” she said.

With their show providing laughs and light entertainment, Wilma said it is really good vibes all the way. She also talked about what would put her in a bad mood. “Bad vibes is bad food and hungry.

GVBOYS: Pangmalakasang Good Vibes stars Jerome Ponce, Nikko Natividad, Dave Bornea, Wilma Doesnt, Elsa Droga, and Ms. Carmi Martin. Directed by Don Cuaresma and is now available for streaming on the Puregold channel on Facebook and YouTube.
