Alodia Gosengfiao reveals why she stopped vlogging: ‘I can’t afford to get sick’

<p>Having been a cosplayer for almost half her life, it’s no surprise Alodia Gosengfiao’s popularity has made her one of most prominent figures when it comes to dressing up as characters from video games, books, and movies. After starting her YouTube channel in 2007, fans have looked forward to her content which ranges from her day-to-day vlogs to exciting cosplay events in and outside the country. This year, the 33-year-old vlogger revealed why she has not been posting regularly on her channel. </p><div><a href="https://push.abs-cbn.com/2020/5/25/fresh-scoops/alodia-gosiengfiao-wows-netizens-with-13-million-27580"><strong><u>READ: Alodia Gosiengfiao wows netizens with 1.3 million all-in-one gaming chair</u></strong></a></div><p>Alodia revealed that the main reason she hasn’t been able to vlog was because she needed to focus on Tier One Entertainment, the esports company she co-founded in 2017 along with esports veteran Tryke Gutierrez and entrepreneur Brian Lim as well as her other businesses.</p><p>“I think I’m getting a little overfatigued and I know I can’t afford to get sick because I still have tons of stuff to do like business meetings in between and project deadlines. It’s because I juggle so many other things. Yes I do streams almost daily and I’m under my fourth year under contract with Facebook Gaming as their ambassador. And I’m so really happy and lucky to be part of this honestly.</p><p>“Also working with many brands daily over the years, managing businesses like Tier One, Alodia Beauty and one I still cannot disclose until now. And with that comes so many things that happen behind the scenes such as board meetings, NDAs (non-disclosure agreements) that happen for suture collaborations, problem solving in the middle of the night (laughs). I can’t say but it happens quite occasionally and all I think for me I don’t have to share all online. Like we have quotas to hit per month, contracts to adhere to, minutes watched, numbers to reach, and it is no easy task trying to do this while balancing other aspects in your life. For girls, we also have to do our own hair and makeup and that’s like an additional hour a day so there really is a production behind all the fun nights you see the gamers have online. We just look chill but stressed out if technical glitches happen. And we care so much because this is our job. There’s like little details that we have to iron out and I am super excited to finish this because there’s a lot more going on after we add the lights which is super cool. It’s going to change the whole feel and look of this whole place,” she said.</p>
