Singer Adie talks about working with Ivana Alawi on a music video: ‘Hindi mo ma-fi-feel yung intimidation’

<p>Long before he signed up with O/C Records in 2020, 20-year-old singer and songwriter Adie Garcia said he already tried his luck joining the industry, but to no avail.</p><p>“Nag-audition din ako sa The Voice Teens, sumali ako sa mga singing contests pero hindi ako pinapalad. So ever since talaga nag-start na ako dati kumanta pero recently lang din talaga ako nag-start sa pagsusulat ng songs. Last year talaga ako nag-focus at nag-pursue. Sa 2022 naman sana madami pang songs na mailabas and gigs sana. And collaborations with big artists like Ms. Moira Dela Torre, with Ben &amp; Ben sana and madami pang artists. Hindi naman (nakakahiya) nung nagkita kami kasi may idea naman siya na part siya ng inspiration sa ‘Paraluman’ talaga. Nakakatuwa kasi yung panaginip dati na kasama ko si Angelina tapos sinusulatan ko ng ‘Paraluman’ tapos finally nakasama ko sa isang project. Nakakatuwa lang yung feedback niya dun sa nagawa ko. Sabi niya lang flattered siya. Favorite ng mother niya at ng mga kapatid niya daw. Kasi siyempre sinong gagawa ng song sa taong hindi mo naman talaga kilala? Mas na-feel ko yung vibe na hindi mo mafi-feel sa kanya yung intimidation or kaya yung parang star siya kasi we all know na sikat siya pero ang ipapa-feel niya sa ‘yo na parang kaibigan mo lang siya eh. Working with Ms. Ivana din sobrang smooth lang. Wala, chinerish ko lang that time yung moment na yun. Gandang ganda talaga ako sa kanya. Sa mata lang ako tumitingin. Ganda ng mata niya, sobrang genuine. Kahit sabihin nating superstar si Ms. Ivana, parang hindi mo ma-fi-feel yung intimidation. Kasi working with her parang cool lang, friends kayo doon. Ipapaparamdam niya sa ‘yo na magkaibigan kayo o magkakilala na dati pa. So ang sarap lang ng feeling na ang aga ko na-experience na makatrabaho yung big names like Ms. Ivana Alawi and Bela Padilla. have his career managed by O/C Records founders Kean Cipriano and Chynna Ortaleza Cipriano.</p><p>“Masaya ako na finally na-release na yung song ko. Tapos so far ang sarap lang sa feeling na makatanggap ng mga positive feedback from people na nakikinig. Bahala na kung anong mangyari. Ako personally ayoko lang na mag-expect. Basta ayoko ma-disappoint. Working naman with madam Chynna and sir Kean Cipriano is such a blessing kasi coming from scratch parang out of nowhere may biglang artist na kinuha ang O/C Records na sila. Parang walang assurance kung anong mangyayari. Nakakatuwa lang kasi nagbigay sila ng 101% trust sa akin. Kaya nakakatuwa ang na kanila ako napadpad kasi ako binibigay ko lang naman yung 100% ko as a musician and ganun din sila. So working with them is a blessing talaga,” he admitted. </p><p>Published under O/C Records, Adie’s latest single “<em>Tahanan</em>” is now out on all leading digital music  platforms, including Spotify, Apple Music, and YouTube.</p>

Adie Garcia remains grateful one year after joining Kean Cipriano and Chynna Ortaleza’s O/C Records family.
