Squid Game star O Yeong-su won the Best Performance by a Supporting Actor in a Series, Limited Series, or Television Movie award at this year's Golden Globes.

He is the first South Korean actor to win a Golden Globe. award at this year's Golden Globes.

The 77-year-old Squid Game actor bested fellow nominees Kieran Culkin of Succession, Brett Goldstein of Ted Lasso, and Billy Crudup and Mark Duplass of The Morning Show. award at this year's Golden Globes.

The actor expressed his gratitude and elation after winning the award. “After hearing the news of the award, I told myself, ‘I’m a decent guy,’ for the first time in my life. Yeong-su plays the role of Oh Il-nam or player 001 in Squid Game. His role is an elderly man with a brain tumor who joined the survival game. award at this year's Golden Globes.
