KC Concepcion mourns the passing of her childhood yaya Nanay Lina: ‘I did my best for you’

<p>Growing up, KC Concepcion has always been grateful to her childhood yaya Nanay Lina who had helped take care of her since she was baby. In the Cuneta home, KC shared that household help will always be considered like family. In 2018, she even gifted her elderly nanny with a house. Last January 3, KC posted about yaya Lina’s passing.</p><p>On her social media accounts, she wrote, “No words can express how I cherish you, and how loved you made me feel. Just my presence, just me being with you in the same room, made you so happy, and how that would inspire me. Thank you for the unconditional love, your fierce loyalty and unshakeable faithfulness Nanay. I prayed as a child that God would give you a long, full life. He granted that wish. I did my best for you my Nanay Lina, even if I needed to leave the nest and grow my wings to fly. Now you’re the one with wings flying around heaven for sure ☺️ Mag champagne ka na diyan, nanay. Masarap champagne diyan for sure ☺️✨🥂 I love you so much and I’m eternally grateful to you for taking care of me until the end. She wrote, “Papa She didn’t wake up na. I spoke to her a couple weeks ago pa. She was so happy.”</p><p>The 36-year-old vlogger and businesswoman also revealed more details about her yaya’s colorful life in a reply to one of her followers. “She worked for the Thai embassy and was taught to speak Thai. She also taught me many Thai words and greetings and my family and I flew her to Bangkok once before,” she added. </p><div><a href="https://push.abs-cbn.com/2021/12/17/fresh-scoops/kc-concepcion-shares-birthday-message-for-sister-f-197505"><u><strong>READ:KC Concepcion shares birthday message for sister Frankie Pangilinan</strong></u></a></div><p>During an event in 2017, KC honored her yaya Lina onstage and shared just how precious their relationship was to her even after she moved out of the house and lived on her own.</p><p>“She is really my guiding light. The woman who took care of me when my mother as busy working. My mother entrusted me to her and she writes me handwritten notes, handwritten cards every month and every time she sees me. She never married anymore and considers all of us her children. A lot of us can relate to this situation that we all have our nanay ninangs in our lives so I really wanted to put a spotlight on her.” </p>
