Maxene Magalona reveals most important lessons she learned from her marriage: ‘Never chase. Attract.’

<p>Barely a week after she confirmed her separation from husband Robbie Mananquil, Maxene Magalona is showing that she is ready to move on from her 2018 marriage. The couple spent most of the pandemic in Bali, Indonesia where they attended yoga teachers training in 2020, and decided to extend their stay there until early last year. </p><div><a href="https://push.abs-cbn.com/2022/10/14/fresh-scoops/maxene-magalona-confirms-shes-single-203053" target="_blank"><u><strong>READ: Maxene Magalona confirms she’s single</strong></u></a></div><p>After uploading a post where she shared tips on how to move on from a breakup earlier this week, Maxene followed it up with another introspective post last October 19, sharing the most important lesson that she learned from their marriage. She wrote, “Give yourself to God before you give yourself away.</p><p>“I believe one of the reasons why most relationships don’t work is because people come into them with unresolved trauma and unprocessed pain from childhood. When two wounded souls come together, no matter how great things are at the beginning, they will end up unconsciously projecting their traumas and pain onto each other if neither of them do the inner work to heal.</p><p>“This is where conscious coupling comes in. Instead of just dating and courting each other at the beginning of a relationship, I highly recommend having a very honest conversation about your intentions as to why you want to have a relationship in the first place. Get real and vulnerable by discussing things like your past traumas, mistakes and heartaches. Things that trigger you. Your fears and uncertainties. It’s nice to have fun and lighthearted conversations especially at the start of a relationship but I believe what will truly make it last is when we can just be completely honest with each other and have deep and meaningful conversations—especially the uncomfortable ones. This will help you determine whether or not you want to continue with the relationship and if you think it will work. This will save you time and unnecessary pain.</p><p>“If you are currently in a happy and stable relationship, I encourage you to constantly ask each other how you feel and hold space for each other with no judgment. Spend quality time and be present. Cry about your worries and fears and then laugh about them together, too.</p><p>“If you are in an unhappy relationship, it’s best to have an honest, heart-to-heart conversation and ask yourselves if it is worth holding on to something that isn’t making your soul smile anymore or if it’s better to just gracefully and lovingly let go so that both of you can move on to the things that are truly meant for you.</p><p>“If you are single, focus on working on yourself and embody the traits that you want in a partner. Heal so that you can be a better human. Offer your healing to God and He will bring you in alignment with your soulmate.</p><p>“Never chase. difficult times at the moment just like her.</p><p>“Sunsets are proof that endings can be beautiful too </p><p>“Sending this to those who lost their jobs, are going through a breakup/divorce (like me) or have been grieving the death of a loved one.</p><p>“We learn and grow so much more through pain, as long as we allow ourselves to feel it. Feel everything and then let it all go. Move forward and keep going. I know this is easier said than done but please find it in your heart to try. Trust me when I say that you’re not helping yourself nor anyone in this world by being miserable. We need you to shine and thrive. We want you to feel alive. But you can only do this if and when you choose to make peace with your pain. All that negative energy inside of you is blocking the blessings that God has in store for you. If you allow yourself to face and feel your pain, it will only hurt for a while. Cry it all out. After that, you will feel lighter and stronger. Pain is temporary. Wisdom is forever.</p><p>“If you’re ever feeling lonely or scared, just come back to this post, take a few deep breaths and feel your heart beating. You’re here. You’re alive.
