MEET BORTANG BARBIE: Aaron Maniego joins PIE Channel’s roster of hosts

<p>Known online for his monicker as <em>“Ang Pambangsang Bortang Barbie,”</em> content creator Aaron Maniego admitted that netizens will get to see a very different side of him with his new duties as one of the hosts of PIE Channel’s <em>PIE Night Long </em>show.</p><p>“Usually ang ginagawa ko sa TikTok is more on entertainment and this is also my first venture as a talk show host. Kaya ang maaasahan niyo dito sa akin is to see a different side of me. Usually kasi kulitan, mga bardagulan, bortang Barbie. Ang maaasahan niyo sa akin dito right now is yung dependable na advice. Pag-uusapan din yung iba’t ibang mga controversial na topics na hindi normal na pinag-uusapan. Yung iba’t ibang topics dito sa <em>PIE Night Long </em>tungkol sa love, relationship problems. Minsan nagiging seryoso at ipinapahiwatig namin sa inyo ang aming mga take on those topics.</p><p>“What I’m proud of the most about <em>PIE Night Long </em>is our interactivity. Kasi habang nagbibigay kami ng mga payo, biglang ang ating mga ka-troPIE na tawag namin ay mga Pamilyang Puyat, parang sila rin nagbibigay ng kanilang mga take sa topic and binabasa namin live on air. branding ko on social media is pagiging Bortang Barbie. Lalaki nga ako pero nagiging ganito. Ipapahiwatig ko in a way yung advocacy ko subconsciously sa Bortang Barbie is yung freedom of expression. Kahit lalake ka man, hindi porke’t lalake ka hindi ka puwede umiyak, hindi ka puwede magpakita ng vulnerability. Hindi porke’t babae ka or bakla ka hindi ka puwede maging matikas at malakas di ba? Lahat tayo ay may iba’t ibang aspeto of expression regardless of being masculine or feminine that makes us who we are. At yun yung gusto ko ipahiwatig sa ating mga ka troPIE.
