Global superstar Taylor Swift bagged six awards at the recently concluded 2022 American Music Awards.

The singer took home Artist of the Year, Favorite Music Video for “All Too Well: The Short Film," Favorite Female Pop Artist, Favorite Pop Album for Red (Taylor's Version), Favorite Female Country Artist, and Favorite Country Album for Red (Taylor's Version).

In her speech after receiving the Artist of the Year award, which was the highest honor of the night, Taylor attributed her success to the support of her fans.

"You know, in the past few years, I have released more music than I have in the entire decade preceding that. And I really feel like that’s down to the fact that you, the fans, made it clear that you wanted to hear lots of music that I would make. You encouraged me," she said.

Taylor remarked that the more music she created, the happier she became.

"And so I found that the more music I made, the most music I put out, the happier I was, the more I just kept that channel open and kept creating, kept making things, and the more that happened, the more you guys were like ‘yay, keep doing it!'" she stated.

She added, "So thank you underlined with 13 exclamation points. I don’t know what to say. I love you."

Meanwhile, during her speech for Favorite Pop Album for Red (Taylor's Version), Taylor expressed her gratitude to her fans for supporting her re-recorded album.

"I cannot tell you how much my re-recorded albums mean to me, but I never expected or assumed that they would mean anything to you," she stated.

"So I can't thank you enough for caring about this album that I'm so proud of," she added.

During her acceptance speech for Favorite Music Video for All Too Well: The Short Film, Taylor highlighted that it's the fans who made it all possible.

"This short film was 10 years in the making, and the only reason I got to write and direct this short film is because you, the fans, chose the song ‘All Too Well.’ You chose it. No one at a record label chose it. You picked it, you said, 'That is the song that matters to us.' And it just so happened that that is the song that mattered the most to me. So I’m very happy we agreed on that," Taylor said.

She then thanked Sadie Sink and Dylan O’Brien, who starred in the short film saying, "Thank you so much for trusting me as your director for your immense incredible talent."

"I’m so proud of it, I’m so happy you like it too. This is so special and wonderful," she added.

Taylor released Red (Taylor's Version) back in November 2021.

The album contains 30 tracks which include the re-recording of the past tracks of the 2012 version of the album.

"It never would have been possible to go back and remake my previous work, uncovering lost art and forgotten gems along the way if you hadn’t emboldened me. Red is about to be mine again, but it has always been ours. Now we begin again," Taylor posted upon the release of the album.
