“We’re really thankful to our producers for making this film happen. They really felt na isa itong kuwento na dapat naming ipakita sa mga tao. So they fought for the film para matapos ito and now we’re showing so I’m very excited and at the same time kinakabahan rin ako ng konti because I really love the film and I’m looking forward to for it to be successful. Sana magustuhan ito ng mga tao,” he shared during the Call Me Papi presscon held earlier this month.

“And I guess there was a time na masyadong nag-focus sa pagmamahal instead of focusing on myself, my goals, my dreams. Kumbaga parang naging sentro kasi yun ng buhay ko before. No regrets naman pero nangyayari yun. So siguro yun lang makukuha nilang lesson from my character, na to focus muna on your dreams and goals before you can get to focus on your loved ones,” he explained.

“Siguro because of the pandemic, I got to realize a lot of things and put aside all the superficial things na I thought was important before. I guess partly also even also somewhat yung pagiging celebrity, the fame, the fortune, mas naitabi ko yun and just focus on doing good work. And giving more time to my family. And actually mas naging okay yung career ko because nag-focus ako sa mga bagay na mas importante talaga.

“And siguro I have to thank my family also, my girlfriend Michelle (Vito) kasi isa sila sa mga taong who stuck with me until now to the end. Tapos, may mga bad habits ako before na sila mismo nag-reset sa akin. So I’m not the person I am right now if it wasn’t because of them,” he admitted.
