The Voice Kids season 2 champion Elha Nympha denied the accusations being thrown at her on social media that she uses auto-tune when she covers songs.

On TikTok, Elha explained that she has been imitating the sound of auto-tune, but has never actually used auto-tune software itself.

“The reason why nagtutunog auto-tuned siya guys is because sinasadya ko siya,” she revealed.

Elha shared her side of the story after seeing different comments on social media about the change in her voice ever since she started her singing career. She added that it was her own decision to try and change things up a bit.

“Story time! Lagi kong nababasa sa YouTube na, ‘Oh my God, si Elha, bakit sobrang autotune ang boses, bakit robotic? blah, blah, blah.’ Well let me explain: Sa mga covers ko po hindi ko po nilalagyan ng auto-tune or kahit na ano, except for reverb kasi nire-request ng tao mas gusto nila may reverb and also echo,” she shared.

The singing champion asked her followers to rewatch her old clips from the show Your Face Sounds Familiar Kids where she imitated different singers. Elha noted that she was just as surprised as her viewers were when she found out she could imitate the sound of auto-tune.

“You guys know me. Sumali ako sa Your Face Sounds Familiar Kids and I can easily imitate voice and also gumaya ng kahit na anong tunog. Di naman kahit ano pero certain tunog na kaya ko. So one time nagre-recording ako guys and tinry ko mag-auto-tune. Then habang paulit-ulit kong naririnig ‘yung auto-tune ay tinry kong kumanta and to my surprise nagaya ko ‘yung auto-tuned na boses ko,” she said.

In her following videos, Elha showed the difference between her natural singing voice and one with auto-tune added.
