Marry You, Marry Me actress Sunshine Dizon revealed to her followers on social media that she has been diagnosed with several mental conditions such as Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and Depression. She admitted her condition after she was rushed to the hospital for an unknown cause.

Sunshine felt the need to tell her fans what has been happening with her life lately.

“Since I'm here alone feeling overwhelmed, I guess it's time to admit what I’ve been going through recently. Diagnosed with PTSD, Depression, Panic attacks, Abandonment issues, and that's just skimming the surface,” she shared.

Sunshine added that she has been getting treatment for her condition and has been taking several medications to alleviate what she’s feeling. The 39-year-old actress wanted to address this issue to shed light on mental health awareness in the country.

“You may ask why now? Only because I want to free myself from the stigma. There’s nothing wrong with asking for help. I know it’s very hard to get stuck in your head. But we can do it, baby steps. One day at a time,” she continued.

Various celebrities like Carla Abellana, Danica Sotto-Pingris, Vina Morales, and her close friend Iza Calzado, among others, gave their thoughts and prayers in the comments.

“Ga, andito kami. Maraming nagmamahal sa’yo,” Iza commented.

Sunshine is currently in the hospital as of this writing after she revealed that she had a fever as high as 38.9°C. She shared that she was alone in the hospital ward and had time to reflect on the meaning of life.

“Realizations, some people will love you enough to move mountains just to be with you, and some will have lame excuses because you are not and will never be their priority. I'm turning 40 next year,” she added.
