Louise Delos Reyes on doing love scenes in ‘The Wife’: ‘Hindi siya yung maghuhubad na lang’

Playing the title role in the Vivamax Original film The Wife, actress Louise Delos Reyes admitted she still had misgivings about doing the more daring scenes in the film which has her playing the wife of Diego Loyzaga who has an affair with an ex-girlfriend (played by newcomer Cara Gonzales).“From the start naman wala akong hindi sineseryoso na trabaho. Kasi at the end of the day, trabaho pa rin ito and naturingan din na ito rin yung passion ko and sobrang natutuwa ako sa mga projects na binibigay sa akin kasi natututo ako ng mga bagong tactics or bagong puwede kong baunin sa next na project ko. Simula pa lang wala naman akong filter and ang totoo niyan nagkaroon ng doubts. Pero in-assure naman ako ni boss Vic (Del Rosario) and ni direk Denise (O’Hara) na yung eksena maganda yung kalalabasan. And nagtiwala ako sa director ko, nagtiwala sa script, and nagtiwala ako sa eksena kasi kailangan talaga siya. Nakita ko na kailangan siya nung storya para mag-grow at kapitan ng tao yung character ko at sa mga characters ni Diego at ni Cara. Hindi ko masasabi na start na ’to kasi medyo hesitant pa rin talaga ako sa mga ganung eksena. And kapag hesitant ka kasi, ayoko yung feeling na hindi mo mabibigay ng 100% yung sa trabaho mo kasi meron kang doubts, meron kang hesitation. Pero nag-ma-matter talaga yung takbo ng storya hanggang dulo kung essential ba siya or importante ba siya. Ano bang puwede natin gamitin dito para matakpan lang ‘to at hindi ako makitaan. Pero kahit gaano ka mag-prepare, yung atmosphere pa rin talaga ng set dun mo ma-fi-feel kung comfortable ka ba. And perfect lang nung timing kung kailan namin shinoot ito kasi andun na yung trust namin sa isa’t isa. Kalagitnaan na kasi nung shinoot namin yun. Yung script din pag binasa mo siya very detailed siya eh. So alam mo na kung ano yung points na gagawin mo. Hindi siya yung maghuhubad na lang, hindi siya ganun.
