Jake Zyrus proudly shares his shirtless photo: ‘Hindi ako humihingi ng opinyon’

<p>After coming out as a transgender man over five years ago, singer Jake Zyrus admitted he is finally comfortable with the way his body looks after posting a shirtless photo on his Instagram account last February 19. The 29-year-old singer admits he had to think carefully before sharing his latest post because he has always had insecurities about his body. </p><p>He wrote, “Una sa lahat salamat sa lahat ng napakaganda nyong comments sa version ko ng ‘Maghintay Ka Lamang.’ Mahal ko kayong lahat.</p><p>“Pinag-isipan kong maigi kung ipo-post ko ba &#x27;to. Kasi lagi kong iniisip kung anong sasabihin ng ibang tao. Sa ilang taon na nag-transition ako, masaya ako sa naging takbo ng buhay ko, pero lagi parin akong nai-insecure sa katawan ko. Siguro dahil na rin sa standard ng karamihan.</p><p>“Pero ngayon, palalayain ko na lahat yun. to help empower his fellow transgenders who might need a boost of confidence about how they feel about themselves.</p><p>He added, “Masaya ako at gusto ko lang ipakita sa inyo na eto ako. Sa wakas, komportable sa nakikita ko. Hindi ako humihingi ng opinyon. Para ito sa mga kapwa ko transgender. Kung naghahanap kayo ng sign o confidence para ipakita at maging proud sa kung sino ka, tara sasabayan kita. Para sayo to. Kung hindi ka man handa pa, okay lang din yun. Lahat yan may tamang panahon.</p><p>“Well. This is me guys.</p><p>Mahal ko kayong lahat.”</p><p>In his post, Jake also received words of support from fellow singers Troy Laureta and Daryl Ong as well as American blogger and media personality Perez Hilton. In his comment, Troy wrote, “Yessssssss The world loves you. You have nothing to prove or say. And again, I will always be grateful. I enjoyed &#x27;yung experience, &#x27;yung mga tao na nakilala ko. ... I&#x27;m happy that I get to experience being the first on Ellen, the first on Oprah, and it will be forever in my heart and that&#x27;ll always be me whether Jake or Charice.”</p>

Singer Jake Zyrus hopes to empower fellow transgenders by sharing how proud he is now of his body.
