Celebrity couple Derek Ramsay and Ellen Adarna were finally able to push through with their much awaited honeymoon in Africa after leaving the country last week. The couple brought along Ellen’s son Elias and her assistant Jessa for the trip.

For the first leg of their African safari, they opted to stay at The Manor at Ngorongoro located at the Ngorongoro Conservation area in Central Tanzania where they enjoyed game drives to see different species of animals. According to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area Authority website, the area has “115 species of mammals recorded for game-viewing. Including zebras, elephants, lions, cheetahs, hyenas, leopards, jackals, serval cats, and the endangered wild hunting dogs. There are over 550 recorded species of birds in the Conservation Area.”

After a few days’ stay in Ngorongoro, Derek shared with his social media followers that they were transferring to the Serengeti which is about a four-hour drive or a short plane ride from their first location. Unlike their cottage accommodations in Ngorongoro, the couple chose more rustic tent-like accommodations during their stay in the Serengeti.

After getting engaged in March last year, Derek and Ellen got married on November the same year after exchanging vows at a scenic mountain resort in Bataan.
