“I think Awra and I have been friends for a long time na and I think we just bonded more and got closer more now because Awra has already grown. Kumbaga she has already matured and blossomed into a beautiful woman. So I feel like we’re able to connect more now because we’re able to have deeper conversations and deeper understanding of each other. And I love Awra so much and my family does too. Like my whole family loves her because she’s a true friend. Mas mahaba pa chikahan namin kesa sa interview na nanganap kagabi. Parang we could just sit in silence over the phone, we could chat, we could laugh. Puwede kaming mag-chismisan kung ano man yan. I feel like our friendship is so effortless and very natural,” she said.

In fact, Awra was one of the selected guests who Julia invited to join her family and closest friends during her 25th birthday earlier this month. Even while doing lock-in taping for The Seniors, Julia said they also had more time having fun together on and off camera.

“I remember we did this scene na yung location namin parang sa tea place. After doing that scene where she said, ‘Yung buhay mo parang pang-teleserye, yung sa akin pang-BL series.’ After that scene Awra and I looked at each other and said, ‘Aww you know we have chemistry!’ (laughs). I love this girl,” she admitted.

“Siguro yung experience ni Diana dun sa new school. Meeting just this funny group of friends na walang ituturo sa kanya kundi magpaka-kanal, which is ang dami kong kaibigan ngayon na tinuturuan din ako maging alam mo na, as ako bakla na ako kasi lahat ng best friends ko bakla. So I wish I had that same experience na mag-immersion, go to the province and gain a lot of friends from there and learn a thing or two from them. I think ang pinakanatuwa ako for my character Diana was she’s just surrounded by people who could make her laugh and experience life differently,” she said.
