As part of the cast of Vivamax’s latest teen-oriented series The Seniors, Andre Yllana said that his own experience during high school was a colorful one because he was not a picture perfect student.
As part of the cast of Vivamax’s latest teen-oriented series The Seniors, Andre Yllana said that his own experience during high school was a colorful one because he was not a picture perfect student.
“Siguro yung perfect description ko as a high school student nung mga panahon na yun pasaway. Talagang lahat ng bawal ginawa ko (laughs). Siguro yung craziest thing na ginawa ko sa school is yung attendance ko sa school laging butas butas yung week ko na schedule. Laging may cutting dito, cutting diyan, late sa klase, yung typical na pasaway. Pero eventually naman na-realize ko nung mga third or fourth year ko na itong edukasyon yung kinabukasan ko kailangan din bumawi. Kaya nung college nag-ayos na din ako. Nagtino na rin ako (laughs),” he shared.

“Since I came from a Catholic school, yung putting God first yung nadadala ko sa everyday life ko ngayon lalo na kapag may mga problema. Hindi nawawala si Lord sa buhay ko. Siguro yun na yung biggest thing na nakuha ko from high school na if there are problems or there are blessings, lagi kang magpapasalamat at huwag kakalimutan ang Diyos,” he added.

Even though he is already finished with school after completing an automobile mechanic course at Don Bosco Technical Institute last year, Andre shared some advice for those who want to make the most out of their schooling experience.

“Since you have your friends, keep your friends close pero your family closer kasi minsan may mga taong super close nila sa friends nila to the point na nawawala na oras nila sa family nila. For me, ang pinaka-advice ko is i-manage niyo yung time niyo dahil yung friends niyo will always be there. Pero yung family niyo, you’ll never know kung kailan tayo mawawalan ng kapamilya. Kaya as much as possible kung kumpleto pa yung pamilya niyo or kung sino man yung nakakasama niyo everyday, i-cherish niyo yung mga moments with each other,” he explained.
