My Papa Pi star Pia Wurtzbach admitted she immediately got excited when she found out she would be working on a sitcom this year on the Kapamilya network.

“Talagang short notice nung nalaman ko na gagawin ko ‘to tapos within a few days nandito na ako. Tinapos ko lang yung quarantine ko siyempre kailangan natin sumunod sa protocol. Tinapos ko lang, dumating ako dito and straight into it na. Medyo matagal na akong wala sa TV and sa commercials and endorsements lang ako madalas mag-shoot. Pero I’m very, very grateful that I’m here and sa dami ng mga puwedeng piliin na mga leading lady, ako talaga,” she said.

“Big stars sila and very experienced actors pero hindi ko naramdaman na iba ako. Kasi siyempre ako yung mas bago dito. Very welcoming sila and generous din sila sa knowledge nila. Gina-guide nila ako kung meron akong puwedeng i-improve pa. Actually sobrang welcoming nung vibe dito at nagtutulungan kasi we aim to make every scene shine,” she explained.

“Ang perfect pa nung project para sa akin personally kasi malalabas ko yung kulit ko tapos hindi rin ako ma-pe-pressure sa iyakan (laughs). So parang it’s a great way to come back kasi the last time I did TV was bago pa ako mag-Binibining (Pilipinas), bago pa ako mag-pageant. Yung last na role ko jellyfish sa Aryana. Yun yung last na TV ko talaga. Tapos yung last naman namin ni papa P na sitcom din was mas matagal pa dun. Magpinsan kami sa show na yun. So nung natawagan ako for a chance to work with them and be the lead actress, yes right away… Hindi pa ako nag-si-swimsuit nun. Hindi pa ako pinapayagan ni Mr. M (Johnny Manahan),” she recalled.

“Mukhang matatagalan pa siya kaya hindi pa ako nag-po-post ng mga updates kasi may mga babaguhin pa ako sa construction niya. May mga i-improve pa ako at hindi naman ako nagmamadali. Pero I will keep you guys updated sa mga social media accounts ko kung ano yung magiging process, kung paano ko siya gagawin. I think baka end of the year or next year pa ako makakalipat. Pero I’m not in a rush at all. Gusto ko kasi talaga siya pagandahin dahil first ko yun na pinaghirapan ko and big check siya on my list na magkaroon ng sariling bahay,” she said.

“Sa kanila ako humuhugot ng lakas. Kahit wala sila dito sa Pilipinas nasa abroad sila, nasa UK sila. Nandun yung mama ko, yung kapatid ko, yung pamangkin ko. Mahal na mahal ko yung mga pamangkin ko. Sa kanila ako humuhugot ng lakas talaga,” she admitted.
