After starring in their first movie together Sakaling Maging Tayo in 2019, McCoy De Leon and Elisse Joson reunite onscreen again in the newest Vivamax film Habangbuhay which starts streaming this month.

In the film, Elisse plays the role of a woman named Bea who is diagnosed with a condition called Common Variable Immune Deficiency (CVID) wherein the body has low levels of protective antibodies, making her highly susceptible to various infections. Because of this, Bea does not have the luxury to go places and is raised to stay home by her overprotective mother Lily (played by Yayo Aguila). When Bea meets JR (McCoy) who plays the family’s houseboy, the two form a connection that changes both their lives forever.

During the film’s recent mediacon, the Habangbuhay stars revealed their romantic side by both admitting that they believe in the concept of forever with each other. After breaking up in 2019 and then revealing they now have a daughter after reconciling, the couple have proven that real love will always find a way.

McCoy admitted he loves Elisse dearly and is committed to his relationship with his real-and-reel life leading lady. “Oo naman eh yung katabi ko na nga yung forever eh. Siyempre maniniwala kasi kumbaga kahit noon pa, pagmamahal lang nararamdaman mo sa lahat ng mahal mo, yun na yung forever,” he said.

The Habangbuhay actress said it is her open communication lines and bond with McCoy that has kept their relationship strong and enduring since they got back together. “Like we always say, siyempre we’re at the point na alam na namin na forever na ‘to. Road to forever. Pero we always say that so alam na din naman ng lahat at alam namin din , ang importante sa isa’t isa yun,” she added.

Habangbuhay is directed by Real Florido, winner of Best Director at the London Film Awards and Best Feature Film at the Canada International Film Festival for the movie 1st Ko Si 3rd. The film movie also won Gender Sensitivity Award at the QCinema International Film Festival. Stream it exclusively on Vivamax.
