Popular internet duo Sophia Grace and Rosie returned to The Ellen DeGeneres Show as the variety comedy talk show enters its final season.

In their interview, the internet duo took a trip down memory lane and recalled their experiences being part of the show for the first time back in October 2011. Sophia was eight years old when she first appeared on the show while Rosie was five years old. They are cousins.

The duo rose to online popularity when their “Super Bass” cover went viral on YouTube back in September 2011.

"The first time when we were on, we always do this thing when we got really nervous, we got nervous bugs. So we used to spit them out and stamp on them before we came, not literally spit them, to sort of get them out. And also we just really used to get Jamba Juice before we came on strawberry and banana smoothies. And Ronnie the microphone guy, he was literally our best friend and we always used to get the bigger number and the smaller number because of our ages," Sophia relayed.

Meanwhile, Rosie shared that her core memory of her first appearance on the show was when she saw Nicki Minaj, the artist behind “Super Bass,” for the first time.

"I was obviously five years old so I don't remember a lot but the first thing I remember is Nicki Minaj coming out. I remember that but I remember seeing her but that one I didn't know who she was and then it clicked, oh Sophia singing this song so she must be Nicki Minaj the one singing it," Rosie said.

Following their first appearance on The Ellen Show in 2011, the duo attended several red carpet events and TV shows and became authors as well.

Asked what was their favorite moment throughout their journey as a young duo, Rosie shared that it was when she met Justin Bieber.

“My favorite memory is with the same person—is with Justin Bieber obviously. When he kissed me on the cheek in the Kid's Choice Award. Obviously at that time I was like, ‘Eww a boy he is kissing me on the cheek.’ And now I'm like oh my god I let Justin Bieber kiss me on the cheek again,” she said.

Meanwhile, Sophia said that meeting her favorite two stars were her best memories from their journey.

"One with them was probably with Drake because me and my dad were huge fans of Drake and I saw him just casually coming down the Grammy carpet when we were there. And I was like, ‘Drake, my dad loves you so much,’” Sophia stated.

“The second, like the probably the most core memory is obviously when Nicki Minaj came out and then doors over there when they opened I literally looked in every single direction but the one she was coming out obviously and then when I finally saw her it was chaos,” she added.

On what’s next for them, both said that they are focusing on music.

“I actually have a new single that just came out called ‘Little Things’ and the music video also just came out,” Sophia relayed.

“So obviously following in Sophia's footsteps, I'm releasing a new song. My new song is called ‘Safe,’ the music video is out as well. And yeah I'm loving music at the moment and focusing on that,” Rosie said.
