When Alexa Ilacad graced the cover of Star Magic’s SLAY last month, KD Estrada admitted he was blown away when he first saw his love team partner’s cover pictorial.“I just want to say that I’m so proud of Alexa and my initial reaction just seeing her on the cover, ang ganda niya. She looks heavenly. I think that’s a misconception a lot of people get online na love team lang yan.“We had this connection even before we became a love team. So I don’t see why people see it as only that. Kasi it’s more than that eh.“What I built with Alexa is a genuine connection, a genuine friendship, a genuine partnership that I know I can always rely on. That’s why I’m always with her, that’s why we’re always together.“The only way we could make this last is if we just support each other in whatever we do. Kasi it could get a lot sa totoo lang.“Kasi when we got out (of PBB) there was opportunity after opportunity and we thank God for that and it’s tiring. But we’re just human and nakakapagod siya.“As of now, a relationship is not really ideal kasi parehas kaming busy. Baka maguluhan kami lalo. I think if you have healthy relationship, you have a healthy partnership, both of you are thriving, I think you have all the rights to flex that.“If you want to keep it private, go lang. Pero if you want to shout it out to the world that I love this person and this person loves me back or something, then why not? You flex that.“Well since we’re both in showbiz, we both understand na sometimes we won’t be together. Sometimes our projects will be magkahiwalay or iba ipa-partner sa amin.“But I think yung key lang is trust. Tiwala lang sa isa’t isa. I think that’s the key to every relationship. Tiwala, communication tapos the rest follows. Respecting each other’s boundaries, ganyan. Those are the top three things that I put when handling this relationship,” he said.
