Spotify shared that the Philippines has the second largest number of listeners of BTS in the entire world on its platform.

The music streaming platform made the announcement just in time for the 9th anniversary of the K-Pop group.

On Monday, June 13, Spotify posted, "7 boys. 9 years. 35 million monthly Spotify listeners. And among those, the Philippines is actually the second biggest country listening to BTS Happy 9th anniversary to @bts_bighit and to us, Filo ARMY! Borahae!"

Topping the top 10 biggest audience listening list of Spotify was the USA, followed by the Philippines, then followed by Japan in the third spot, then Indonesia (4th), and Mexico (5th).

In sixth place was Brazil, followed by India (7th), the UK (8th), Canada (9th) and then Germany (10th).

Coinciding with the celebration of their 9th anniversary, BTS released an anthology album called Proof on Friday, June 10.

"We wanted to take a moment to sort out what we’ve released so far. So we put them all in one album," BTS member Jin said on why the group decided to release an anthology album during a YouTube livestream of the K-Pop group on Monday.

BTS member V also relayed, "Many of our unreleased songs are included in this album. We took those songs as a chance to reminisce on when they were recorded."

Suga remarked that the anthology album will help new listeners be introduced to their music.

"When I grow interested in an artist, it’s hard to listen to all their albums. It’s not easy to listen to all the songs. This album is like the essence. It’s kind of like an introduction. Once you follow this guide, you’ll get a rough idea of who BTS is," he said.

In the same YouTube livestream, the BTS members also talked about their best moments so far throughout their journey as a group.

"For me it's the day BTS was born. That day means a lot to me. That probably is the best moment for me. I still get emotional thinking about it," Suga shared.

Meanwhile RM shared that the best moment for him was when they performed at the Olympic Gymnastics Arena for the first time.

"I've had many great moments but you know how we used to say we shouldn't retire before performing at the Olympic Gymnastics Arena. We used to say that a lot. I think it was 'The Most Beautiful Moment In Life On Stage: Epilogue' when we first had a concert at the Olympic Gymnastics Arena. That day was one of the best moments," RM remarked.

BTS also released the music video for their new single called "Yet To Come" on June 10 from their anthology album.

The Grammy-nominated K-Pop group will be promoting their Proof album on Korean music shows like M Countdown, Music Bank, and Inkigayo in the coming days.

BTS made their debut in 2013 under Big Hit Entertainment.

They are the first Korean act to top the US Billboard 200 with their album Love Yourself: Tear in 2018.

They are also the first South Korean group to reach the number one spot on the Billboard Hot 100 with their song "Dynamite" in 2020.
