Here’s the first look of Ana de Armas as Marilyn Monroe in ‘Blonde’

<p>Netflix released the teaser for Blonde on Thursday, June 16. Directed by Andrew Dominik, the movie features actress Ana de Armas who plays the role of Marilyn Monroe in the film.</p><p>Based on the best-selling novel of Joyce Carol Oates, &quot;Blonde boldly reimagines the complicated life of icon Marilyn Monroe. Blurring the lines of fact and fiction, the film artfully explores the tension between her public and private l<em>ife</em>,&quot; Netflix said.</p><p>In an interview with Netflix Queue, Ana shared her experience working with director Andrew in breathing life to the novel which is inspired by the Hollywood icon.</p><p>&quot;Andrew’s ambitions were very clear from the start — to present a version of Marilyn Monroe’s life through her lens. He wanted the world to experience what it actually felt like to not only be Marilyn, but also Norma Jeane (Marilyn&#x27;s real name). I read Joyce’s novel, studied hundreds of photographs, videos, audio recordings, films — anything I could get my hands on. Every scene is inspired by an existing photograph,&quot; she said.</p><p>&quot;<em>We’d pore over every detail in the photo and debate what was happening in it. The first question was always, ‘What was Norma Jeane feeling here?’ We wanted to tell the human side of her story. Fame is what made Marilyn the most visible person in the world, but it also made Norma the most invisible</em>,&quot; the actress added. </p><p>Ana remarked that the movie &quot;is not linear or conventional.&quot; Rather, &quot;it is meant to be a sensorial and emotional experience.&quot;</p><p>In the same interview, Andrew was all praises for Ana&#x27;s dedication to the character and to
