Philippine folk-pop band Ben&Ben released a new song titled “Langyang Pag-ibig” on Wednesday noon, June 22.

As the band’s new music trended on Twitter, netizens dished on how the lyrics in Ben&Ben’s latest release happen to be the exact opposite of their previous one titled “Paninindigan Kita.”

With lyrics like “Langyang pag-ibig 'yan, ang daming mong isusugal. Kung balak mo akong iwan, o, ba't mo pa'ko minahal?” “Langyang Pag-ibig” talks about one’s lamentations over a failed relationship, whereas “Paninindigan Kita” is about an unrequited love.

Ben&Ben consequently addressed said observations on Twitter, saying “Minsan ang Langyang Pag-ibig, nagiging Paninindigan Kita,” and teased about the upcoming MV of their song to be released on June 30.

As of press time, the official lyric video of “Langyang Pag-ibig” has garnered more than 470,000 views, and has entered YouTube’s trending list for music.

Meanwhile, Ben&Ben recently collaborated with Philippine telecommunications brand Smart for their venture with Apple Music’s Spatial Audio, which will allow users to listen to surround sound using compatible headphones and earphones. A six-month trial subscription to the audio streaming app is available to subscribers of the telco company.

Composed of Paolo, Miguel, Poch, Jam, Agnes, Andrew, Toni, Keifer, and Patricia, the nine-man band is behind the hits “Pagtingin,” “Araw-Araw,” “Kathang Isip,” “Maybe The Night,” and “Leaves.”
