<p>Filipino-American singer H.E.R. will be playing the role of Belle in the upcoming hybrid live-action ABC special to celebrate the 30th anniversary of <em>Beauty and the Beast.</em></p><p>&quot;I can’t believe I get to be a part of the <em>Beauty and the Beast</em> legacy,” H.E.R. said in a report by <em>Variety</em>.</p><p>She added that she has always aspired to be a Disney princess.</p><p>&quot;The world will see a Black and Filipino Belle! I have always wanted to be a Disney princess, and I get to work with two wonderful directors Hamish Hamilton and my favorite, Jon M. Chu. It will also showcase costumes inspired by the animated film.
