Even after being active in the showbiz industry for so many years, Solenn Heussaff revealed in the podcast of Bianca Gonzalez that she still doesn’t know what to answer when asked what she does for a living. Each time the celebrity answers any form, Solenn admitted that she still thinks about what to put.

“I don’t want to say I am an actress because I feel like I [still] have so much work to do still as an actress. I usually put TV personality or something like that. I also don’t want to put a singer because I feel like I am not Mariah Carey,” she shared.

Solenn recently guested on the Paano Ba ‘To podcast of Bianca wherein they talked about various topics that centered around trusting the process. Solenn was initially a model before joining the reality program Survivor Philippines back in 2010.

Before deciding to be a celebrity, the 36-year-old had wanted to do something related to the creative industry as she claimed to be bad in math. At 16 years old, Solenn decided that she’ll be taking up fashion and went abroad to learn from the best teachers.

“It’s not like a dream of mine since I was a kid. You know, when you interview all these designers, they all say na they started cutting up dresses for their Barbie dolls. It never kind of was anything like that for me. I knew for sure I wanted to do something in the arts because that’s what I excelled in school,” she added.

Looking back, the actress has no regrets of trying all the things that piqued her interest. She claimed that all these memories she experienced were a stepping stone to where she is today.

“When I think about it now that I am 37, how can you know at such a young age when you haven’t experienced the world yet? You live in your bubble. Everything kind of worked together for me at least. I always feel there’s so much more to learn,” she said.

As a celebrity, Solenn feels like she still has more to experience and according to her, that’s the beauty of not having to confine herself to a specific role in the industry.
