It’s been more than 11 years since actress and beauty queen Lara Quigaman married actor Marco Alcaraz and the couple have been happily living a peaceful life along with their three children Noah, Tobias, and Moses. Earlier this month, the celebrity couple shared their experience going out of the country together for the first time during the pandemic without their kids in tow.

On her Instagram account last August 15, Lara wrote, “When we were in Italy, I had a moment when I had to just stop and say, ‘Thank You God!’ Being in Italy with my husband, enjoying the sight, the food, the experience and just each other was wow! Those were things that I used to just dream about you know? And we were there, you know??? Lime whoa! The leaning tower of Pisa! In front of us! Wow!! It was a humbling, overwhelming moment to realize how truly good God is, how He gives more than we ask…”

In the same post, the 2005 Miss International title holder also shared her experience commuting when she was still a student.

“Quick college story- when I used to commute from Biñan, Laguna to UST in España, I always only had the exact amount of money for a meal, and enough money to get to school and back home and so I used to hide my pamasahe in my socks or bra in case 'ma hold-up' ang jeep na sinasakyan ko eh makakauwi pa rin ako ok maybe that's not a quick story— but just sharing that before all I wanted was to be able to go home but now, we have the resources to travel... To Europe! And even to other places I cannot brag you know, I acknowledge that all that I have is from God. None of this is because me or my husband or anyone! All I can really say is thank You Jesus!”

Marco and Lara first got married in a civil ceremony in Vancouver, Canada in 2011 before tying the knot at Hacienda Isabella in Cavite City the following year. Lara was part of ABS-CBN teleseryes like The Killer Bride, Halik, and Bagani.
