Xiong and Geejen Macabuhay of Antipolo City, Rizal got married last October 25, 2021 and recently only posted the snapshots from their budget-friendly wedding on social media on July 31, 2022.

"First step is pumunta kami sa Civil Registry Office ng local government. They have the requirements, nakalista naman po iyon. 'Yung requirements namin, comply ka lang. Then marriage license fee is P390," Xiong shared.

Geejen wore a second-hand gown on their wedding day. The couple had their wedding reception at the restaurant of Xiong's brother and they only spent Php2,500 for their meals. Their wedding rings were only worth Php999.

According to Xiong, they found the rings on Facebook. "Ang maganda dito sa P999, may engagement ring, tatlo na po siya," Geejen relayed.

The couple shared that they decided to have a budget-friendly wedding so that they can save up the money for their future.

"Ang mahalaga lang po ay yung mismong day naman eh. Nag-enjoy kayo, saka maging memorable. Nag-focus lang po siguro kami sa magiging life namin after the wedding. Kumbaga, sa marriage na po. Siguro po, sa future kids po, kasi alam niyo naman po ang life ngayon. Kaya nag-focus na lang po kami sa mga plano po na puwede naming gawin in the future," Geejen relayed.
