LOOK: Kapamilya stars in ‘50 Most Influential for 2022’ list

Several Kapamilya stars made it to online publication Preview’s list of the “50 Most Influential for 2022.”

These celebrities were recognized at this year’s Preview Ball held at Taguig City on Wednesday, August 31.

Actress-singer Nadine Lustre, for one, was included for her advocacies on sustainability and climate change awareness. She is actively involved in various nonprofit organizations, including the environmental activist group Greenpeace.

Nadine’s ex-partner James Reid, on the other hand, was recognized for his game-changing Careless label that promotes local music on the international scene.

Angel Locsin also made it to the list for her stance on good governance and uplifting human rights. The philanthropist is known for leading efforts during disaster-related incidents.

Liza Soberano, whose mental health awareness campaign paved the way for the launch of her podcast called An Open Mind, also made it to the list.

Unkabogable Star Vice Ganda, whose representation on both mainstream and online helped the LGBTQIA+ communities in more ways than one, was also included for her game-changing influence.

Andrea Brillantes, Francine Diaz, Belle Mariano, Lovi Poe, Ivana Alawi, Julia Barretto, Kathryn Bernardo, Kylie Verzosa, Sofia Andres, and Donny Pangilinan were also recognized for their works on film and television.

Couple Anne Curtis and Erwan Heussaff were included for their influence on fashion, fitness, and travel.

Beauty queens such as Pia Wurtzbach and Catriona Gray also made it to the list.

Pia, for one, was recognized for promoting HIV awareness, particularly her partnership with LoveYourselfPH, a leading community dedicated to providing free HIV testing, counseling, treatment, and life coaching in the Philippines.

Catriona made it to the list for her influence on promoting the works of indigenous communities, particularly on fashion and local style.

SB19 and Ben&Ben, whose songs changed the OPM scene, transcended borders, and are now recognized internationally, were also included in the list.
