Filipino-American makeup artist and social media influencer Patrick Starrr transformed actress Liza Soberano into a Miss Universe candidate in his latest YouTube vlog.

"To ring in 2023 with this beauty, we had to slay because we know there is only one country that dominates Miss Universe and that is the Philippines. We did a beautiful smoky red carpet eye and I gave her LA glamor," Patrick said as he transformed Liza into a beauty queen.

It was the first time that Liza and Patrick got to collaborate. They filmed the makeup tutorial collaboration in Los Angeles, California.

"I feel very honored to be in your presence," Liza told the makeup artist.

It can be recalled that Liza once took on a Miss Universe role when she played as Pia Wurtzbach in an episode of the drama anthology Maalaala Mo Kaya. Pia won Miss Universe in 2015.

Fans online were quick to express their excitement about the collaboration.

"OMG!! Liza! Oh so cool.. What an unexpected and refreshing collab. Nice to see such young talented young artists especially my fellow Filipinos. 😍 Her answers were flawlessly real and unfiltered. Love this!" one netizen said.

"Future MISS UNIVERSE" 👑🤞🏻✨🇵🇭 BTW, aside from being gorgeous and stunning. She kinda looks like a Disney Princess," another netizen commented.

While doing the makeup transformation of Liza, Patrick also asked Liza about her career plans and goals for the year.

"My goal is really to just become my own person because for so many years I was in a love team and that's mainly what I was known for or like I was attached to so many different brands. I never was able to build up my own personal branding. I feel like this year and the next few years, it is all about figuring out what I want to do with my career and personally finding out what excites me, what fuels my passion," she told Patrick.

When asked by Patrick what characters she would love to portray in her next projects, Liza answered, "I love characters that are rooted in reality, like someone that could be your best friend. I also really like out of this world fantastical movies. I am a huge Harry Potter fan. I had a Harry Potter-themed birthday party for my 19th birthday."

Liza also shared with Patrick her experience meeting BLACKPINK recently during the K-Pop girl group's concert in LA.

"They were so sweet and it was just so fun watching them. I didn't know that I was going to meet them. I thought I was just going to watch the concert. I was brought to like the VIP area and as soon as I entered the room I recognized everybody," she relayed.

Liza shared that she was so ecstatic when she met the K-Pop stars that time.

"I was trying my best to not freak out really because these are all people that I adore. I was trying to keep the cool but on the inside I was freaking out and then I met all of them. They were just so sweet and no matter how tired they were after performing they were just so accommodating," she stated.
