Erik Santos marks 20 years of friendship with Sarah Geronimo, Rachelle Ann Go

Erik Santos is celebrating 20 years of friendship with fellow singing champs Sarah Geronimo-Guidicelli and Rachelle Ann Go.

The three recently reunited during a private event at the Manila House Private Members Club in Taguig. Erik, 40, posted a photo of him with Sarah, 34, and Rachelle, 36, on his Instagram page, with the simple caption, “20 years of friendship.”

Dubbed the “original champions,” Erik, Sarah, and Rachelle all began their music careers after winning televised singing competitions — “Star in a Million” for Erik, “Star for a Night” for Sarah, and “Search for a Star” for Rachelle. They grew close while performing together in numerous production numbers on the Sunday variety show “ASAP” over the years.

The three singers were last seen together in January 2020, with Erik similarly sharing a photo of their reunion in Manila on social media.

Rachelle, who has been based in London and become a Broadway star, recently went home to celebrate the holidays with her family. She is currently pregnant with her second child with her husband, Martin Spies.

Meanwhile, Sarah remains married to her husband, actor-host Matteo Guidicelli. The couple is set to celebrate their third wedding anniversary this February. She and Erik are currently seen on “ASAP Natin ‘To,” which airs Sundays.
