Ronnie Liang warned his followers about a fake account on Instagram pretending to be him.

In an Instagram post, Ronnie said he felt the need to address the issue after he received multiple reports from other people informing him that they have been getting messages from a person he described as an “impostor.”

Ronnie said the “impostor” has been asking for money from other people and has been inviting them for meetups.

“I have received reports that this ig account is sending private messages, asking for money, and inviting people for meet-ups,” he said.

Ronnie also explained that he only has one Instagram account and it is the account with the handle @ronnieliang and bears a blue check, which means it is a verified account.

“Please be informed that it is an IMPOSTOR and FAKE account. I only have one official Instagram account, so if you ever receive private messages from this ronnieliang22 account, please ignore, block, or report them. Thank you.”

Ronnie Liang, a pilot, is also an army reservist who completed his Civil-Military Operations Officer Correspondence Course in 2020.

He has been actively helping in various relief operations during typhoons including Odette in 2021 and Paeng in November 2022.

He rose to fame after getting named 2nd runner-up in the hit reality show Pinoy Dream Academy.

In August 2022, he earned his master’s degree in Management, Major in National Security and Administration at the Philippine Christian University.

Ronnie proudly took to social media to share the great news by sharing his graduation photo.

The Army reservist admitted that it has been a challenge for him to juggle all his activities in life. He admitted, though, that getting a master’s degree is worth the struggle. As an artist, Ronnie shared how important it is to pursue education if given the opportunity.

“From my perspective as an artist, I realized that obtaining a higher education is an empowering tool that will provide us with many opportunities. It amplifies our self-worth and dignity because it gives us a sense of pride,” he shared.

Ronnie also urged everyone to study and pursue their dreams as it could give them better opportunities in the future.

“Being a singer is my first love, and becoming a commercial pilot has been a childhood dream. However, my master's degree is like a stronger safety net in this life of constantly not knowing what will happen next,” he remarked.
