MOMOLAND members leave MLD Entertainment

The six members of K-pop group MOMOLAND have decided to leave MLD Entertainment.

On Friday, January 27, MLD issued a statement announcing the departure of the members from their agency.

"First of all, we sincerely thank the fans who cherish and support MOMOLAND," the statement read as reported by Naver and translated by Soompi.

"After a lengthy discussion with MOMOLAND (Hyebin, Jane, Nayun, JooE, Ahin, and Nancy), we respected each other’s opinions and agreed to terminate the exclusive contract upon expiration of the contract period," the agency announced.

MLD then thanked the group members for being part of the agency.

"We express our deep gratitude to MOMOLAND who has been with us for a long time, and we will sincerely wish the best for the members’ future endeavors," the agency remarked.

"We would like to ask fans to show unchanging love and support to the six members who are about to start anew. Thank you."

MOMOLAND had their debut in 2016 through the reality show Finding Momoland. They released their debut mini album Welcome to Momoland in November 2016.

The K-Pop group originally had seven members including Hyebin, Yeonwoo, Jane, Nayun, JooE, Ahin, and Nancy who were the winners of the reality show.

The group then had 9 members when Daisy and Taeha joined them in 2017.

Throughout their career, MOMOLAND released six EPs, three single albums, one compilation album, and one studio album.  

The hit songs of the group include "Bboom Bboom" and "Baam."

The group had staged shows in the Philippines multiple times in the past.

Their first visit to the country was in August 2018 for an event.

In January 2019, the group had a fan meeting at the Big Dome.

In November 2022, performed at the Pinoy K-Pop fans "friendship day" called "Ripples for Hope" held at the SM Mall of Asia Arena.

Taeha and Yeonwoo left the group in 2019 while Daisy exited the group in 2020.
