Fil-Am teen singer achieves 4-chair turn on ‘The Voice’

<p>Filipino-American teen Kaylee Shimizu achieved a four-chair turn and immensely impressed the judges during the blind auditions of<em>The Voice. </em></p><p><em></em>The 17-year-old singer from Hawaii performed &quot;Golden Slumbers&quot; by The Beatles<em></em></p><p>&quot;We’re just stunned right now. Your voice was just dazzling. It was so creative. It was so musical,&quot; coach John Legend told the teen singer after her performance.</p><p>According to Kaylee, she grew up singing karaoke with her Filipino family.</p><p>&quot;I grew up singing karaoke, Filipino family. Your vibrato it&#x27;s so slow, like a wave and it feels like you have so much control over that. I&#x27;ve never heard anything like that before,&quot; she remarked.</p><p>Gwen added: &quot;And I think it&#x27;s because you are so young and free to be able to have the stage now to do it on was probably even fueling your fire more I could feel it. I&#x27;d never heard anybody do what you did on the stage today. It was spiritual to me,&quot; Reba stated.</p><p>Kaylee chose John as her coach for <em>The Voice. </em></p>
