Xian Lim wowed his followers with a video of his live performance of the classic Mozart tune Rondo Alla Turca or “The Turkish March.”

In his post on Thursday, October 19, the actor said that the Mozart tune was among the first few classical pieces his mother, Mary Anne Lim, taught him as a child.

“She offered me ice cream and chocolates for every 30 minutes of practice,” he recalled. “Check her page to see my chubby pics ☺️.”

The video was taken during his first-ever solo concert, #ADateWithXianLim” held at the Kia Theater in Araneta Center on July 9, 2016. He performed with the ABS-CBN Philharmonic Orchestra under the musical direction of Gerard Salonga.

“It was an honor to play the piano under the baton of Mr. Gerard Salonga,” he added.

In his post, Xian also shared some inspiring words for his fans and followers about learning to trust the process and not giving up.

“There will be lots of times where you just feel off, and nothing seems to go right. Don’t worry, it’s okay to feel down from time to time,” he said.

“Just trust the process. Baby steps towards every goal. Smile. Embrace discomfort. Be prepared to fail. Do your best, and know that everything will fall into place,” he added.

In addition to being a great actor and a talented director, Xian is also known to be a musical genius. Previously, he revealed on the late-night talk show Martin Late @ Night that he can play up to 17 different musical instruments — from piano, guitar, and ukelele to cello, xylophone, drums, and his favorite: the trombone.

“Just the basics. I wouldn’t consider myself really super duper concert good, pero I can play some basics.”

Speaking with journalist Nelson Canlas, Xian opened up about his love of music.

"It's a passion of mine e, I wouldn't really say na hobby,” he said. “Hindi siya hobby, it's more of something that makes me happy, makes me feel full, it makes me feel complete when I'm in the piano, when I'm performing on stage.”
