Enchong Dee says starring in historical film ‘Gomburza’ is a dream come true

<p>&quot;This is something I&#x27;ve always wanted to do.&quot;</p><p>These were the words of Enchong Dee when describing his role in <em>Gomburza</em>, a film that recounts the harrowing tale of three Filipino priests who were executed for their involvement in a mutiny against the the Spanish colonial government in 1872.</p><p>The actor plays the role of Jacinto Zamora in the film alongside Dante Rivero who plays the role of Mariano Gomez and Cedrick Juan who portrays the role of Jose Burgos.</p><p>Enchong remarked that this is his dream role.</p><p>&quot;If they ask me what&#x27;s your dream role, I would always say either historical or biopic. Then I got both in this film. And film showing is always a good tool for us to get educated,&quot; he said.</p><p>The actor continued: &quot;So now that I am in the position wherein I can shine a light on our certain personalities in our history, specifically Padre Jacinto Zamora and of course the Gomburza, it&#x27;s an honor. And at the same time, I am very glad because this will educate and at the same time entertain our students.&quot;</p><p><em>Gomburza</em> is an official entry in this year&#x27;s Metro Manila Film Festival. </p>
