Taylor Swift released her highly anticipated album 1989 (Taylor's Version) on Friday, October 27.

The album contains 21 tracks including the five vault tracks "Slut!," "Say Don't Go," "Now That We Don't Talk," "Suburban Legends," and "Is It Over Now."

"I was born in 1989, reinvented for the first time in 2014, and a part of me was reclaimed in 2023 with the re-release of this album I love so dearly," Taylor wrote on social media upon the release of the re-recording.

She continued: "Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine the magic you would sprinkle on my life for so long. This moment is a reflection of the woods we've wandered through and all of this love between us still glowing in the darkest dark."

"I present to you, with gratitude and wild wonder, my version of 1989. It's been waiting for you."

The 1989 (Taylor's Version) is the fourth re-recording of Taylor’s following Fearless (Taylor's Version), Red (Taylor's Version), and Speak Now (Taylor's Version) to reclaim ownership of the master rights of her previous albums.

Fans online were quick to express their excitement following the release of 1989 (Taylor's Version).

"WHAT A TIME TO BE ALIVE! Can’t believe we get to relive this masterpiece re-recorded and taken to a whole new level 🙏🏻❤️ We love you girl. Stay awesome," one fan wrote.

"This album is incredible. You’ve done so much throughout the years. You’ll always have our relentless support," another fan wrote.

It was in August when Taylor announced that she will be releasing the re-recording of 1989.

"The 1989 album changed my life in countless ways, and it fills me with such excitement to announce that my version of it will be out October 27th," she said in her announcement post.

The singer added: "To be perfectly honest, this is my most FAVORITE re-record I’ve ever done because the 5 From The Vault tracks are so insane. I can’t believe they were ever left behind. But not for long!"
