The singer-actress admitted that she was looking forward to the contract signing as the Kapamilya network really “makes a big deal out of it.” She added she had no doubts as to why she continues to be a Kapamilya despite all the things the network has gone through.

“Kasi di ba minsan in life kailangan lang natin ma-experience yung mga experience na di masyadong maganda for us to appreciate what we have. I guess, at that time, mas lalo ko talagang naappreciate ang mga Kapamilya––especially yung mga bosses natin. Pinaglalaban talaga nila––they tried to provide jobs for everyone even though it’s difficult,” she shared.

Regine sincerely shared that even if she wasn’t a Kapamilya during the start of her career, it was the challenges that the network faced during her time here which made her feel and empathize with the others as well.

I never really considered myself as an actor di ko alam bakit… Siguro if there’s an offer with a really really good role and a really really good story, yung mahirap ako mag no. Regine’s contract signing was done in the presence of ABS-CBN chairman Mark L. Lopez, ABS-CBN president and CEO Carlo L. Katigbak, COO of Broadcast Cory V. Vidanes, and ABS-CBN head of TV Production and Star Magic head Laurenti M. Dyogi.
