<p>Marie Lozano is about to get married.</p><p>The lifestyle journalist and host of the <a href="https://news.abs-cbn.com/"><em>ABS-CBN News Channe</em></a>l show <em>Cityscape</em> celebrated her bridal shower with her closest friends ahead of her upcoming wedding to her photojournalist fiancé, Aaron Gekoski.</p><p>Photos and clips from the surprise yacht party were posted online by Nice Print Photography and Marie’s best friend, Princess Consing.</p><p>“Marie Lozano is the next bride. This was a proposal beyond my wildest imagination,” she said.</p><p>“It happened in the most magical first day, out here in Zimbabwe: up close and personal with rhinos in the morning, followed by sunset over Matobo Hills UNESCO World Heritage Site. Oh, I said Yes!” she wrote. “I adore you, I love you and I would love to be your wife.”</p><p>Aaron also confirmed the news on his Instagram page.</p><p>“When two journalists get engaged, it&#x27;s important to cover the event from all angles,” he captioned his post.</p><p>Marie has a teenage son, Nikos, from her past relationship with her ex-boyfriend Pierre. While speaking to <em>Modern Parenting </em>in 2021, the lifestyle journalist opened up about her blended family and her current relationship with Pierre.</p><p>“We’re very good friends. We’re neighbors. We’re co-parenting. And he’s very good friends with my boyfriend,” she said.</p><p>She also shared, “When I was dating, I kept it away from my son because I didn’t just want to introduce him to anyone that was not going to be permanent because that would really have psychological effects on a child. And then when I finally introduced him, it just worked so well. It was beyond what I expected—how he just accepted it and how mature he is about it.”</p><p>“Sometimes, as parents, we underestimate the capability of our children—how they want us to be happy. A lot of us think, ‘Oh, they might not understand.’ So we base our actions depending on what we think our children would understand,” she added. “But they really want us to be happy. They feel it. They know when you’re stressing. They know when you’re having arguments. They’re very sensitive to those things. It’s a big learning for me.”</p>
