BLACKPINK’s Lisa added another feather to her cap this time as a solo artist after her single “Money” hit 1 billion views on Spotify.

The streaming platform welcomed Lisa to the “Billions Club” following the said feat.

Lisa was featured in Spotify’s “Billions Club: The Series” wherein Lisa can be seen unwrapping her Spotify plaque.

“I feel like it’s something unbelievable that my songs have this many people who have listened to them. It makes me proud of myself and makes me want to keep making music. I would like to thank everybody who has made my dreams come true,” Lisa said in the video.

The K-Pop artist shared that the first time she heard “Money,” she knew she wanted to sing it.

“As soon as I heard it, this is my song. When I first got into the record room, I just felt like ‘Ah this is made for me.’ It’s one of my favorite songs and I’m so happy that you all loved it,” she relayed.

Lisa is the first female K-Pop artist to have a song surpass one billion streams in Spotify history.

According to the streaming platform, “Money” has been added to over 14 million playlists.

The top 10 countries that streamed “Money” the most are Thailand (1st), Philippines (2nd), Indonesia (3rd), India (4th), United States (5th), Vietnam (6th), Mexico (7th), Malaysia (8th), Brazil (9th), and Germany (10th).

For her feature in the “Billions Club: The Series,” Lisa also showcased her cooking skills as she cooked a Thai dish and made a Thai dessert to celebrate the milestone in her career.

"Money" is part of Lisa's solo EP called Lalisa, which she released on September 10, 2021 under YG Entertainment and Interscope Records.

The track debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard Global 200 chart. Aside from "Money," the EP contained the track "Lalisa."

"I heard 'Money' first and told Teddy (music producer), 'Oh my God, Teddy oppa, I have to do this song, I want this to be my solo song.' And he was like, 'OK, let’s do it!' And then we heard [an early version of] 'Lalisa,' but the hook was another thing. Teddy had the idea to put my name in the hook," she said in an interview with Billboard back in 2021.

"At first I was like, 'Whaaa… I think it’s kind of weird to keep repeating my name. How’s it going to sound?' And then we tried it, and it came out so cool. I really like it," she added.
