Season 2 of Song Kang’s ‘Sweet Home’ to premiere in December

<p>Netflix released the trailer for the second season of the thriller-fantasy series <em>Sweet Home</em> starring Korean actor Song Kang. The global streaming giant announced that the show will premiere on December 1.</p><p>In the trailer, Kang&#x27;s character can be seen being held captive. &quot;We met at last. The series is based on the webtoon of Kim Kanbi.</p><p>According to a press release by Netflix, the second season of <em>Sweet Home</em> &quot;follows Green Home survivors and Hyun-su each fighting to survive in new places, while other beings and mysterious phenomena emerge.&quot;</p><p>According to Netflix, director Lee Eung-bok consulted with webtoon writer Kanbi to expand the world-building this season.</p><p>&quot;It is going to be a full-fledged apocalyptic drama. As the world expands, there will be more to think about,&quot; Jin-uk said.</p><p>Si-young added: &quot;A vastly sprawling world awaits the characters after they leave Green Home. Everyone will go through major changes.&quot;</p><div><a href="https://push.abs-cbn.com/2023/3/6/song-kang-first-fan-meeting-ph-1051"><strong>READ: Song Kang on first fan meeting in PH: ‘An unforgettable time’</strong></a></div><p>In an interview with Kang in March when he visited the Philippines for a fan meeting, Kang shared that his role in <em>Sweet Home</em> is his favorite role in his career.</p><p>&quot;Right now, the character that&#x27;s closest to me is [Cha] Hyun-su in <em>Sweet Home.</em> Right now, I&#x27;m shooting &#x27;<em>Sweet Home</em>&#x27; and in this show, we&#x27;re shooting a story that&#x27;s really detached from reality. [Hyun-su] is the character that I&#x27;m pouring a lot of my time and energy into,&quot; he said back in March.</p><p>On what fans can expect in the second season, he relayed, &quot;If season one was the story of how these different people grew and matured then seasons two and three would be the story of these people who have grown and matured.&quot;</p>
