Led by CJ ENM Hong Kong (CJ ENM HK) in collaboration with the Hong Kong Tourism Board, three micro films were co-produced, showcasing the beauty, culture, and vibrancy of Hong Kong in the film project "Hong Kong In The Lens By Asian Directors."

The said project is set to be part of the Hong Kong Asian Film Festival (HKAFF).

"Hong Kong In The Lens By Asian Directors" features three micro films directed by filmmakers from Korea, the Philippines, and Thailand namely Korean director Kang Yunsung, Filipino director Cathy Garcia-Sampana, and Thai director Nattawut Poonpiriya.

"Hong Kong In The Lens By Asian Directors" had its first domestic premiere in Korea on November 23 featuring Hong Kong, Within Me directed by Yunsung and starring Woo Hye-rim (Wonder Girls) and Chan-sung (2PM). The gala premiere was attended by the film's director and main cast.

Hong Kong, Within Me tells the story of a romantic fantasy that spans in various corners of Hong Kong, encompassing both well-known scenic spots and low-key local shops. The film artfully presents two distinct facets of Hong Kong to the audience, offering a blend of widely recognized landmarks and more intimate local settings.

Meanwhile, the "Hong Kong In The Lens By Asian Directors" micro films of Nattawut and Cathy will premiere in Thailand and Philippines on December 6 and 10 respectively.

Nattawut's directed the micro film Zi Mui which follows the story of two sisters coming to Hong Kong from Thailand to look for someone with Zi Mui. The director opted for fewer close-up shots, instead using wider angles to encompass more of the background and maximize the expansive beauty of Hong Kong's night scenes. The micro film marks the first collaboration in a project of real-life sisters Cris Horwang and Ploi Horwang.

Meanwhile, Cathy directed the micro film Toss Coin. The film tells the tale of two strangers from the Philippines finding love in Hong Kong, exploring themes of fate and the courage to take chances. Featuring the stunning architectural silhouettes of the city, a confident street singer encounters an energetic girl seeking true love. Their journey through Hong Kong unfolds into a sweet and touching romance, akin to a game of hide and seek.

The three micro films will later be aired in December on tVN Asia and OTT platforms across Southeast Asia. It will also be aired on TV channels in Thailand and the Philippines, where broadcasting details will be announced soon. Korean micro film, Hong Kong, Within Me will be aired on both CJ ENM’s TV channel, tvN SHOW and its OTT platform, TVING at 9:30PM on December 8.
