<p>The legendary and iconic British rock band, The Beatles, dropped their “final song” five decades after the group broke up.</p><p>As per BBC News Entertainment, “Now and Then” is based on a 1970s demo recording where the first bars were written and performed on piano by John Lennon in 1977, George Harrison then played his guitar parts in 1995 during the Anthology sessions. The song was completed last year by Sir Paul McCartney and Sir Ringo Starr.</p><p>“For years it looked like the song could never be completed. But in 2022 there was a stroke of serendipity,” The Beatles official website stated.</p><div><br/></div><div><iframe class="instagram-media instagram-media-rendered" id="instagram-embed-0" src="https://www.instagram.com/reel/Cy3OvOttd2q/embed/captioned/?cr=1&amp;v=14&amp;wp=524&amp;rd=https%3A%2F%2Fent-workbench-web.abs-cbn.com&amp;rp=%2F#%7B%22ci%22%3A0%2C%22os%22%3A511110.10000002384%2C%22ls%22%3A510645.1999999881%2C%22le%22%3A511104.6999999881%7D" allowtransparency="true" allowfullscreen="" frameBorder="0" height="1453" data-instgrm-payload-id="instagram-media-payload-0" scrolling="no" style="background:white;max-width:540px;width:calc(100% - 2px);border-radius:3px;border:1px solid rgb(219, 219, 219);box-shadow:none;display:block;margin:0px 0px 12px;min-width:326px;padding:0px"></iframe></div><script async="" src="//www.instagram.com/embed.js"></script><div><br/></div><p>Thanks to advancements in audio technology, the song was created as if the members were together recording it.</p><p>“A software system developed by Peter Jackson and his team, used throughout the production of the documentary series <em>Get Back,</em> finally opened the way for the uncoupling of John’s vocal from his piano part,” stated on the website. </p><p> The same technology was also used last year to create a new mix for the band’s album <em>Revolver.</em></p><p> Giles Martin, son of the late Beatles producer George Martin, said in an interview with BBC that “the software used elements of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and machine learning to separate overlapping sounds.”</p><p> The other members, Sir Paul and Sir Ringo, added new vocals, drums, bass, and piano accompaniments to the song. Electric and acoustic guitar parts were also recorded by Sir George Harrison in 1995, before his death in 2001.</p><p> In creating extra layers of nostalgia from the legendary group, Giles also added backing vocals from the original recordings of “Here, There And Everywhere,” “Eleanor Rigby,” and “Because.”</p><p> The song was also accompanied by strings. However, the band who helped add layers to the music didn’t know that it would be a part of a Beatles song.</p><p>The “final song” is being issued as a double A-side single with the legendary rock band’s debut song “Love Me Do” from 1962.</p><p>The entertainment news site also said that the anticipated final song marks “what could be the closing chapter for arguably the greatest band in rock history.”</p><p> “Now and Then” will be the final track for the British rock band anthologies known as <em>Red</em> and <em>Blue</em> albums which were dated from 1962 to 1966 and 1967 to 1970, respectively. The albums are also set to be released on November 10.</p><p> Peter Jackson, director and producer of the 2021 <em>Get Back</em>, the documentary focusing on the legendary band, was also the director of the music video.</p><div><strong> </strong><strong>‘Now and Then’ Short Film Documentary</strong></div><div><iframe width="951" height="535" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/APJAQoSCwuA" title="The Beatles - Now And Then - The Last Beatles Song (Short Film)" frameBorder="0" allowfullscreen=""></iframe></div><p>A 12-minute short film documentary was posted on The Beatles’ YouTube account last November 1st which tells the story behind the last song of the band, with exclusive footage and commentary from Paul, Ringo, George, John’s son Sean Ono Lennon, and director Peter Jackson.</p><p> The video started off with video footage and audio of the Liverpool-born band bringing a lot of memories to their fans around the world</p><p> “Making good music in a band is all about chemistry. New John song, amazing!” he said. “To hear John&#x27;s voice, that&#x27;s a thing that we should cherish.”</p><p> Sir Ringo also shared his experience when they first attempted to do the song demoed by his late bandmate.</p><p> “It was the closest we&#x27;ll ever come to having him back in the room,” he said while recording for the song.</p><p> Sir Paul also shared that the first attempt of doing the song was something the three members thought about. He said that if they asked John if he would like to finish the last song he created, the late member would probably agree and love the idea of it.</p><p> However, due to technological limitations at the time, they weren’t able to do the final song.
