BTS member Jungkook released his much-awaited solo album, Golden, and the music video for the lead track “Standing Next To You” this Friday, November 3.

Uploaded on HYBE’s official YouTube account, the song has a retro disco funk vibe with a modern touch.

“It conveys a message that I will always be on your side no matter what. My performance is awesome and I poured a lot of effort into preparing for it," the singer said as per The Korea Times.

As of this writing, the music video has already reached more than 5.6 million views and 1.5 million likes after its release.

The music video was directed by award-winning Ukranian director Tanu Muino, who previously worked with Justin Bieber and Doja Cat. The video was shot in Hungary.

Jungkook’s long-awaited solo album consists of 11 tracks including the previously released singles, “Seven” featuring American rapper Latto and “3D” featuring American rapper and singer Jack Harlow. Both songs also had different versions: explicit and clean.

His song “Seven” became the fastest song to reach one billion streams on music platform Spotify and was nominated for Best Dance Performance Male Solo for the MAMA Awards 2023.

The 26-year-old singer shared that “performing in front of his fans is marked as the golden moments of his life.”

"Like many other singers, releasing albums and giving performances are the biggest driving forces for me, so I would like to continue creating these moments with our members. Our golden moments are not over ... Once BTS reunites in 2025 (after serving their military duties), we will look really cool," he said in a video introducing his solo debut album.

The songs in the album include; "3D" ft. Jack Harlow, "Closer to You" (feat. Major Lazer), "Seven" (feat. Latto) - Explicit Ver., "Standing Next to You," "Yes or No," "Please Don't Change" (feat. DJ Snake), "Hate You," "Somebody," "Too Sad to Dance," "Shot Glass of Tears," and "Seven" (feat. Latto) - Clean Version.

Two weeks before his solo debut, Jungkook also released a collaboration single, “Too Much” with Australian singer-songwriter and rapper The Kid LAROI and British rapper Central Cee.
