After the success of the Halloween event "Shake, Rattle & Ball: The Alamat Gala" last October 30, event organizer and host Tim Yap couldn’t help but also give credit to his co-chairperson Andrea Brillantes for the outcome of the star-studded costume event.

Tim dedicated his latest Instagram post to the Senior High star and his working experience with her.

During the ball Andrea rocked her aswang costume while Tim paid homage to the late actress and Pinay horror film icon Lila Cuntapay.

In a recent Instagram post, Tim wrote: “We did it, partner! About @blythe: You couldn’t pin this girl down and make her basic even if you tried to. Something about her just shines and the minute I saw her go all out for Halloween's past I knew we had to collaborate on @shakerattleandball."

"Throughout the process she was the easiest, most collaborative artist. Shooting at the National Museum of Anthropology at midnight, she took off her heels and started walking barefoot just to make the teaser work," he added.

"You give her the assignment and she takes it to a different level—her own. Thank you for your commitment, positive energy and passion to make #shakerattleandball a fun and meaningful event," he continued.

In an earlier post, Tim shared how the idea behind "Shake, Rattle & Ball" first came up.

“When I was brainstorming for our annual Halloween ball, I was looking for a name that was more Filipino and connoted fun, too. Wanted something that can be tweaked every year, depending on the zeitgeist of the times," he wrote.

"My dear friend @piealvarez came up with it that night and that’s why we have @shakerattleandball. Plus I loved watching Pinoy films and the classic horror of Regal shocker and the "Shake Rattle and Roll" series," he added.

He went on: "Looking for a venue was even more challenging. We went to countless venues and even looked at the old Manila Film Center among other historical landmarks but when I saw the National Museum of Anthropology and what was in it and what it stood for, I knew we had to do it there."

"After too many sleepless nights, full days of problem solving, making magic +hardcore hard work and determination to make everything happen, here we are. Having @blythe as co-chair and @newleeroy’s Balay Balete +other artists on another post," he continued.

After the event, Tim shared photos of the most horrifyingly head-turning looks by celebrities during the event which came from stars like Donny Pangilinan, Belle Mariano, Coleen Garcia, Alodia Gosengfiao, and Jason Dy.

Sharing the inspiration behind his costume that rendered him unrecognizable during the event, Tim shared in one post: “Paying tribute to the 'Queen of Philippine Horror Movies' No, not Kris Aquino (but she is a queen, too). Lilia Cuntapay was a teacher, a mother, and an actress known for her countless roles in Philippine cinema as manananggal, aswang, white lady, living or deceased lola, random shock inducer, engkanto, and many more 👻 "

"Was able to work with her many, many years ago when I was active on print. She was always portrayed in a scary way so I decided to shoot her in a prom special, wearing pretty designer dresses. One designer didn’t quite appreciate me putting her in his threads, but oh well," he added.

"Every now and then, she would message me to ask if we had any project we could work on. Well, after many years, Nana Lilia, I hope you’re seeing this from heaven seeing that your work is remembered and appreciated," he continued.

In his post, Tim also shared that the "Shake, Rattle & Ball Alamat" exhibit at the National Museum of Anthropology will have free admission and be open for viewing to the public until December 31, 2023.
