American rock band Fall Out Boy visited the country to perform in front of thousands of Filipino fans gathered at the Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City last Saturday, December 9.

It has been a decade since the band last performed in the country, but the unwavering support from fans remains.

The sold-out show of Fall Out Boy was made possible by local concert promoter Live Nation Philippines.

The bassist of the band, Pete Wentz, shared his amazement at the Philippine crowd's ability to surprise them every time.

According to one of their Filipino crew members, every fan in the venue would sing along to all of their songs from beginning to end.

“This is the second to the last show we’re playing this year. It’s so awesome that we’re here with you guys. Out of this tour, this is by far the loudest show [that we’ve had]. Thank you guys for spending the evening with us,” Pete shared.

The rock band played several of their hit songs, such as "Sugar, We're Goin Down," "Uma Thurman," "The Phoenix," and "Calm Before the Storm," among others.

The band expressed their apology for returning to the country after a decade. However, they lived up to their promise to make the upcoming concert an unforgettable experience.

Lead vocalist Patrick Stump mentioned that the Filipino crowd had been the best audience during their tour. He also shared his admiration for the Philippines' culture, as he has married into it.

“A lot of you probably know that I married into a Filipino family. I got a Barong. It means a lot to me to be here, and it's amazing. You guys are the best audience in this entire tour easily,” he said.

Though the concert lasted only an hour and 30 minutes, fans were treated to nonstop music from the American rock band.

They also performed "Thnks fr th Mmrs," "Centuries," and "Saturday" for their encore performance, ending the night on a high note.
