Ryan Bang shares experience hosting AAA 2023 red carpet event

Ryan Bang said he felt grateful to be chosen as the red carpet host for the recent Asia Artist Awards held at the Philippine Arena in Bulacan on December 14.

"Salamat sa lahat ng bumubuo ng Asia Artist Awards 2023. First time po naganap dito sa Pilipinas kaya natuwa ako," he said about his hosting stint in an episode of It's Showtime

Ryan also shared that the South Korean press interviewed him about why he is multi-lingual.

"Sobra akong natuwa dahil ini-interview ako ng Korean news tinatanong ako kasi bakit ang galing ko daw sa iba't ibang lenggwahe, mga Tagalog, English, alam mo kung ano sinagot ko? Sabi ko kasi dito ako nag-aral sa Pilipinas," he said.

The Kapamilya star said that he also invited K-Pop groups Stray Kids and NewJeans to guest on It's Showtime. 

"Ininvite ko 'yung Stray Kids, NewJeans. Sabi ko, next time 'pag may concert kayo kailangan niyo dumaan sa Showtime para mag-promote din. Pero ininvite ko sila in Tagalog kaya nga eh 'yun ang problema," he quipped.

He added: "Pero kinausap ko naman sila backstage in Korean."

The Asia Artist Awards 2023 honored various artists from Asia including Filipino artists.

Among the Pinoy artists honored at the event were SB19 who took home the AAA Best Artist (Singer) Award and AAA Hot Trend Award, Melai Cantiveros who received the AAA Best Actor Award, Kathryn Bernardo who won the AAA Fabulous Award, Daniel Padilla who received the AAA Fabulous Award, Ben&Ben who won the AAA Best Choice Award, and HORI7ON who received the AAA Focus Award.

Meanwhile, the grand prize winners include K-Pop groups Stray Kids, NewJeans, and SEVENTEEN's BSS.

NewJeans received two grand prizes including Song of the Year and Singer of the Year.

SEVENTEEN's BSS won the grand prize for Performance of the Year while SEVENTEEN's album FML was hailed as the Album of the Year.

Stray Kids took home the grand prize for Stage of the Year.

Lim Young-woong won the AAA Grand Prize for Fandom of the Year while Lee Jun-ho won the AAA Grand Prize for Actor of the Year.
