Zeinab Harake talks about her movie debut in the MMFF horror film 'Kampon'

Considered as one of the most popular vloggers in the country, Zeinab Harake has ventured into showbiz, starting with the Quantum Film Productions horror film entry Kampon. The film, which also stars Derek Ramsay and Beauty Gonzalez, is also Zeinab’s first horror project.<div>“Actually nung inalok sa akin itong horror na ito, hindi ko pa nababasa yung script. Kinukuwento pa lang nila, nagustuhan ko na talaga agad kasi hindi ko rin naman nakikita yung sarili ko na yung first role ko is a bida agad or what. Sabi ko nga unti-unti and nung nakita ko yung character ni Loretta, sobrang ganda kasi talaga nung connect niya sa lahat ng cast kaya sabi ko sobrang mysterious nito, sobrang scary. Kaya tinanggap ko. Sobrang ganda talaga and yung connection. May connection naman. Abangan po natin. Kay sir Derek naman sobrang gaan katrabaho, sobrang marespeto, sobrang aalalayan ka and hindi naging mahirap. Siguro ang naging mahirap lang was kung paano ko gagawin kasi ibang tao nga yun. But so far, so good. Okay naman. Nagampanan naman natin ng maayos kung ano yung gusto ng director at kung anong gusto ng producer at ng production. Yung titingnan mo yung mga cameraman, yung staff, and all. Mas lalo kang gaganahan and hindi mo iisipin na napapagod ka kahit na ilang take pa yan. Kasi mas iisipin mo, ‘Kung ikaw napapagod, what more yung mga tao behind the camera qand behind the scenes?’ Mas iba pa yung trabahong ginagawa nila.’ Dagdag power yun sa paniniwalaan mong pagpapalakas sa sarili mo,” she explained. Zeinab revealed what kind of role she would love to do if given the opportunity someday.“Siguro gusto ko ng very revenge (laughs). Actuallly di ba napakaganda nun. And nakikita ko yung sarili ko ganun eh, ayoko nung parang makikita pa rin nila si Zeinab sa screen. Kasi sa Kampon, ibang Zeinab talaga yung makikita niyo, hindi yung Zeinab the vlogger. Si Loretta yung makikita niyo dito and yun naman yung gusto ko, yung ma-cha-challenge ako to jump to another character kung ano pa yung kaya natin i-portray,” she said. With her big screen debut, Zeinab said she is ready to dive into acting, but is not ready to say goodbye to being a content creator just yet.“Mag-stick pa rin ako sa pagiging vlogger pero kung bibigyan naman tayo ng proyektong kaya nating gampanan palagi, why not naman hindi gawin lalo na kung nasimulan na natin?” she added.<div> </div>
