Bernadette Sembrano shared the progress of the house she's building with her husband Emilio Aguinaldo IV at a farm in Cavite.

On Instagram, Bernadette wrote: "Starting something new before the year ends. We are FINALLY building our first home in Cavite, a home that gives honor to our ancestors 🙏 and a space we want to share with FAMILY and our community."

The ABS-CBN broadcast journalist said that the place is very special to her because it is a space that reminds her that "all is borrowed."

"We are located in a beautiful farm owned and operated by amazing humans— now our friends. In short, NAKIKIFARM LIFE lang kami," she said.

"But the TRUTH in LIFE - nakikitira lang tayo sa mundong ibabaw never feeling entitled," she added.

Bernadette further highlighted: "We take care of earth for those who will come after us, hoping that they build and not destroy, what we and those who came before us, hold dear— PANANAMPALATAYA. TAHANAN. KALIKASAN. PAGKAKAKILANLAN. PAMAYANAN. BAYANIHAN — MALASAKIT PILIPINO."

Followers of Bernadette were quick to congratulate her on this new milestone.

"Congratulations to both of you! A home on a farm is a blessing!!! Merry Christmas and a grace-filled new year!" one follower said.

"You just inspired me to think about building a home and to take better care of what’s been entrusted to me by my ancestors. ☺️🙏🏼 Maraming salamat po, Ate B! 🫶🏼," another follower commented.

Bernadette married Emilio IV in June 2008.

In an Instagram post back in October 2021, Bernadette shared the most vital lessons she learned about her marriage from her husband.

"'Just be a good person. And it starts with listening.' This is one of the most important lessons I learned from my asawa- the most important lessons in marriage or in ANY relationship," she wrote on Instagram back in 2021.

She added: "It’s not all about YOU and you must consider the other person’s behalf. Dami Kong natutunan sa asawa ko on how to be better person and daughter to our parents! #just saying. Ang daming itinuturo ng COMMITMENT."

"It’s a lot of adjusting, resistance even … and constant learning. Si asawa din ang constantly supportive sa passion natin sa buhay. Receive all that love - but GIVE GIVE GIVE love too," she continued.
