Alden Richards became a guest of Kapamilya noontime show It's Showtime for the first time on Monday, December 4.

The actor appeared in the program alongside Sharon Cuneta to promote their upcoming film Family of Two.

"Who would have ever thought?" Vice Ganda remarked as they welcomed the actor to the show.

When asked by Vice on what does he feel to visit It's Showtime for the first time,  Alden replied: "Wala pa rin akong masabi Ms. Vice kasi of course aminin ko rin naman nanonood rin naman ako ng Showtime so it's an honor to be here."

He added: "And parang kaya din po talaga ako nandito ngayon is to really show tama na 'yung network wars or the misunderstandings. Kasi isa lang naman 'yung gusto nating gawin is mapasaya 'yung mga nanood sa atin."

Vice agreed saying they do watch each other's program.

"Totoo po yan. Alam mo kaming lahat kahit magkakasabay 'yung mga programa namin, pinapanood namin ang isa't isa and we don't mind."

Fans online were quick to express their excitement to see Alden on the noontime show.

"This is an iconic moment on National Television! Goosebumps! OMG! I'm so kilig!" one fan said.

"Thanks Vice and everyone for giving Alden a warm welcome to your show😊," another fan commented.

Alden is set to star with Sharon in Family of Two this month for the Metro Manila Film Festival.

"It’s a dream come true for him to have worked with the Megastar. It’s a different character I play here – from a cocky, spoiled rich kid (in Five Breakups)…  Family of Two revolves around two characters who have only each other in their lives," Alden remarked during the press conference of the film as reported by Manila Standard.

The actor highlighted that the film is for the whole family.

"This is for the whole family, especially the single parents who are able to raise their children all by themselves. It also goes for children who do everything for their parents," he stated.
