Since their formation in 1991, the Grammy-nominated band has continuously pushed the boundaries of alternative music. With global album sales exceeding 23 million and numerous multi-platinum certifications, the California-based group consistently dominates the Billboard charts, boasting five consecutive Top 5 debuts.

Incubus also remain a streaming powerhouse, maintaining an average of 4.1 million monthly listeners on Spotify and accumulating over 1 billion streams across all platforms.

The band's current members are Brandon Boyd, Mike Einziger, José Pasillas, Chris Kilmore, and Ben Kenney.

Incubus studio albums include Fungus Amongus (1995), S.C.I.E.N.C.E. (1997), Make Yourself (1999), Morning View (2001), A Crow Left of the Murder... (2004), Light Grenades (2006), If Not Now, When? (2011), and 8 (2017).

In an interview with Incubus member and keyboardist Chris with San Antonio Current back in January 2023, he shared how their soundchecks on tour became instrumental for new music ideas.

"A lot of new music ideas that we have actually come from soundchecks when we're on tour. There was a period of time where all we did was tour, almost 10 years straight. We didn't really have much time other than when we stepped off the tour bus to write a record real quick," he shared.

The musician added: "So, over the years, once we get our soundcheck kind of straight on stage, we just start jamming and we always record. So, after soundcheck, we might say, 'Oh, that was a cool idea' and go back and revisit it and then work on it for a couple days. The process of writing songs for us, that's kind of what it is. It's just a rough idea until it sparks an idea with somebody else. And then it starts going around the rest of the guys and before long it whips up into a song."
